 Kasteel Erenstein. It is just a stone’s throw from Hotel Brughof. The historical walls of this thirteenth-century castle now accomodate a stylish à la carte restaurant. The castle’s rugged walls, sparkling chandeliers and creaking stair treads are all reminders of the building’s rich history. The castle is surrounded by a moat, and located in the middle of a picturesque park. In sunny weather the original inner courtyard provides an unique background for a splended diner. The castle not only accomodates a restaurant; it also offers guests comfortably-furnished conference rooms and reception rooms. Groups of 10 to 500 guests are assured of a hospitable welcome in these facilities, which are available for meetings, parties, or other gatherings.
Hotel Brughof is located close to the castle of Kasteel Erenstein, in the midst of the wonderful nature of the valley of the river Anstel. An authentic quadrangular farmhouse charasteristic of the Province Limburg, built in 1713, is now the home of a splendid four-star hotel. The hotel has 44 luxery rooms, some of which also have a loggia or a private roof patio. A comprehensive and delicious breakfast buffet is served every morning in the convivial conservatory, located immediately adjacent to the cosy inner courtyard. The hotel also has an extremely comfortable lounge, a ‘Limburg’ bar, and a conference room. Hotel Brughof has excellent connections with Maastricht, Aachen, Cologne and Liège, all of which are only a short journey away.

By car from the NetherlandsTake the A2 in the direction of Eindhoven/Maastricht. Just after the Sittard exit take the junction for the A76 in the direction of Heerlen/AachenShortly after the Nuth exit take the junction for the N281 in the direction of Heerlen/Voerendaal. Having passed through Heerlen on the N281 take the Kerkrade-West exit. At the end of the slip road turn right and right again at the first set of traffic lights. At the 5th set of traffic lights (just before a tunnel) turn left. On your left you can see the Hotel Brughof and on the right Kasteel Erenstein.By car from GermanyFollow the A4 autobahn (Keulen-Aken) in the direction of the Netherlands. Immediately after crossing the border at Bocholtz take the exit for Kerkrade/Heerlen. Follow the road to the 2nd exit for Kerkrade-West. At the end of the slip road turn right and right again at the first set of traffic lights. At the 5th set of traffic lights (just before a tunnel) turn left. On your left you can see the Hotel Brughof and on the right Kasteel Erenstein
